2023 Honda Civic LX Features Interior, Specs, Redesign – For the 2023 model year, Honda’s iconic Civic small vehicle receives a major glow-up, debuting a more mature exterior, new amenities, and an improved interior layout. It was elevated to Editors’ Choice status as a result of these and other enhancements. The 2023 Honda Civic will hold its own against the Hyundai Elantra, Mazda 3, and Toyota Corolla thanks to new technology features, including a more prominent touchscreen display, wireless smartphone connectivity, and better driver-assistance systems. All-wheel drive will continue to be standard, as Honda claims the all-wheel movement is not part of the plan. Several four-cylinder engines, including a turbocharged 1.5-liter, are available.
Looking back at past Civic generations, designers frequently fluctuate between goofy and cool. What do you call the tenth generation? A good idea. Before that, how many? Four, five, and six were very remarkable, although three were silly. However, what about the eleventh generation? It’s the all-new 2023 Honda Civic Sedan and Hatchback seen above, both of which will go on sale at different times. Gen 11 looks, feels and acts considerably more maturely than previous generations Regardless of the outcome.
2023 The Honda Civic LX Redesign
A few years ago, the Civic was not entirely new; this time, it is. It introduces the new Honda Civic Sedan for the 2023 model year, which has a completely redesigned exterior and a redesigned interior. Instead of a cosmetic change, the wheelbase has been pushed back by 1.4 inches to show how much work has been done. In this model, the turbocharged engine choice has seen some improvements and gains a small amount of power compared to the previous model.
Honda’s designers toned down the tenth-generation Civic Sedan’s radical look. Instead of relying on the design of the previous version, they examined each iteration in detail. It had a broad stance, a glassy interior with a low beltline, and a long, soft, and thin body, all of which they incorporated into the design of the current Honda Civic model. Gen X’s results are less dramatic, but they’re also more attractive and less likely to spark debate. There are no A-pillars, and the cabin appears to be “glassy.” We’ll have to wait and see if Honda’s strategy connects with its client base, even though it met its goals.
The Sport’s interior is stunning, and the new Civic’s basic design is one of my favorites. There is a beautiful weight to the action of the vent controls, which are centered and click into place (excellent for my OCD). The mesh insert that runs along with the dash nicely covers up the air vents. The steering wheel and the center console controls are well-organized and straightforward to use while driving. With a focus on long-term durability rather than flash and glamor, its interior will not amaze you, but it’s meant to be comfortable and convenient.
You can’t have all of the Touring’s top features with the Civic Sport. The Civic’s low beltline, large windscreen, and thin pillars (a welcome attribute from previous Hondas) provide a tremendous outward view for front-seat occupants. There is an adequate infotainment package in the Civic Sport’s 7-inch color touchscreen multimedia system, as there is in the base LX and medium EX models. For Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wired connections are standard—even if the 7-inch display appears small. The Civic Touring’s bigger 9-inch screen and Bluetooth smartphone connection aren’t available in this model. However, the LX, Sport, and EX trims include a 7-inch left-side screen in the instrument panel, which defaults to a tachometer but may show all relevant information instead of the 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster.
158 hp standard in base models; turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-four standard on all other models; 180 hp available as an option. It is only possible to have a front-wheel-drive automobile. It will only be possible to get a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) on the previous Civic sedan in 2023. However, a six-speed manual transmission will still be available on the hatchback version.
Our study of these cars will be distinct from our review of other versions of the Si or Type-R, including a manual gearbox. At 60 mph in 7.5 seconds, our turbocharged touring car took longer than the previous generation Civic to get there. Our Sport Touring manual hatchback clocked it at 7.3 seconds to reach 60 mph. Because of this, the agile handling, responsive steering, and well-balanced ride of the previous generation model are all current and correct in the new version.
The New Honda Civic LX’s Release Date and Price in 2023
The Honda Civic Sedan’s sticker price is highly appealing. The Touring’s price is unchanged from the previous model, and the price increase is negligible. The 2.0L LX is priced at $21,700, while the Sport is $23,100. The EX version of the Honda Civic comes with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and costs $24,700. The top-of-the-line Touring’s pricing is the same as the previous model’s. It’s a great deal at only $28,300. These prices do not include Honda’s $995 delivery fee.
