2024 Honda HR-V Specs Dimensions, SpecsIn 2024, the new HR-V will replace the current-generation model, which has been on the market since 2014. It could be based on the Honda Civic’s platform, which would depart from Fit’s current foundation. It doesn’t appear to share a body with the HR-V hybrid unveiled for the European market last year, hinting that the US model will be more critical.

To combat the onslaught of desirable and appealing small SUVs, Honda is preparing a gorgeous redesign for the HR-V for 2024. Teaser images reveal that it will look different than the European edition. The previous version was functional and affordable, but the new one will need a more enticing appearance and a more powerful engine to compete with cars like the Hyundai Kona, Kia Seltos, and Mazda CX-30.

2024 Honda HR-V Redesign

The Sport variant sports 18-inch matte black alloy wheels and gloss black exterior detailing for a sportier look. The body is identical to the CR-V, with halogen projector headlights and LED taillights, a chrome grille insert containing the Honda insignia, and 17-inch wheels standard on Honda vehicles. On the EX and EX-L models, 18-inch alloy wheels are an option. Exterior packages and extras are available for all trim levels.

The Honda HR-V measures 170.4 inches in length, 6.1 inches shorter than the Subaru Crosstrek but longer than the Hyundai Kona and Kia Soul. The Subaru Crosstrek has the most significant ground clearance (7.3 inches), followed by the HR-V (7.3 inches) and the Kona and Soul (6.7 inches each). The Kia Soul is also the smallest SUV in the group, which aids in its rapid acceleration.

Interior

The 2024 Honda HR-V was supposed to get a much-needed interior update, but that has been postponed until 2024, as the 2024 HR-V will have the same interior as the 2024 model. The driver’s chair can be adjusted in six different ways, while the front passenger seat can be adjusted in four different ways. The front row seats are only heated in the EX and EX-L variants.

The base LX model has a 5.0-inch touchscreen, while the other trim levels feature a 7-inch touchscreen. Compared to the competition, the interior has enough space in both rows, but it has the most significant quantity of space in the rear row. The Kia Soul is the only contender with more cargo space than the Honda HR-V.

Engine

Only one machine option is available for the 2024 HR-V: a 1.8L naturally aspirated inline-4 with 143 horsepower and 127 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with a CVT transmission that distributes all of the power to the front wheels, with AWD as an option. The 2024 Honda HR-V has enough power for regular driving and a comfortable ride, but it has significant role issues in rapid spins, especially when pushed. The 2024 HR-V will only be able to sprint from 0-60 mph in 9.6 seconds, with a quarter-mile time of 17.7 seconds and a top speed of 116 mph, falling short of expectations.

When you add the irritating CVT drone, you’re left wanting more from the tiny SUV. The 141-horsepower engine in the 2024 Honda HR-weak V matches the car’s uninspiring driving features. The Subaru Crosstrek boasts the most powerful engine, with 152 horsepower, and is exclusively available with all-wheel drive. With 147 horsepower, the Hyundai Kona and Kia Soul are next, but the Kia Soul has the fastest 0-60 MPH speed of 8.9 seconds, thanks to its lower curb weight.
