The Japanese model is based on the Honda Pilot’s construction, although it foregoes the third row favoring more spacious interiors and class-leading cargo capacity. The Passport is positioned between the CR-V and the Pilot, and it feels just as well-made and stable on the road. Under the hoodlum is a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque.

In 2024, the Honda Passport will be offered in various trim levels, including a new TrailSport grade. Off-roading will be prioritized in the Trailsport model. The Honda Passport surprised us, even though hauling a large SUV with a large-capacity naturally aspirated V6 engine isn’t precisely the optimum recipe for excellent gas consumption. According to the EPA, the SUV may earn up to 20/25/22 mpg city/highway/combined in FWD mode. The mpg lowers to 19/24/21 when power is provided to all four wheels.
