2024 Honda Passport TrailSport, Redesign, Price – The Honda Passport will be offered in existing trim levels and a new TrailSport trim level starting in 2022. In the Trailsport model, off-roading will take precedence. The optional Honda Performance Development (HDP) package, already available on the Honda Ridgeline pickup, will include a redesigned grille, HDP unique alloys, darkened fender flares, and HDP badges for a more distinctive design on the 2022 Passport. Competitors include the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ford Edge, and Volvo XC60.
The 2024 Honda Passport is a newcomer to the midsize SUV market, but it has impressed. Structure: The Japanese model is based on the Honda Pilot, but it doesn’t have a third row in favor of more space inside and the best load capacity in its class.
The Honda Passport 2024 has been redesigned.
The Passport SUV had a limited outward design, but it wasn’t the ugliest SUV on the road; it was simply forgettable. This year’s styling update includes a more aggressive front end, an updated grille and bumpers, and a power-bulge hood, which is a pleasant improvement. Changes have also been made to the bumpers and exhaust finishers. The base model comes with automatic LED headlights, rear privacy glass, a dual-exit exhaust, LED brake lights, and a smart remote that can be programmed.
Except for the new TrailSport, which has off-road-focused two-tone 18-inch alloy wheels with massive 245/60R18 tires, all variants feature 20-inch split-spoke alloy wheels. There’s also black “Passport” and “AWD” badging on the TrailSport, as well as orange “TrailSport” badging. Standard: a one-touch power moonroof, walk-away auto-lock, memory-linked side mirrors, and a power liftgate. The Elite, in particular, gets a hands-free tailgate. Roof rails are standard on the TrailSport and Elite, and all models’ front and rear parking sensors are common.
The Honda Passport’s interior in 2024 will be identical to the vehicle’s interior in 2023. The cabin is comparable to that of the Ridgeline pickup truck. The dashboard is simple and easy to navigate. The infotainment screen is located in the dashboard’s center, directly across from the air conditioning vents. The front seats are big and comfy, with manual adjustments and fabric upholstery. The driver’s seat will be 10-way power-adjustable in EX-L and higher types, while the passenger’s seat will be 4-way power-adjustable.
The second-row seat can accommodate three passengers and provides excellent comfort and support. As part of the TrailSport option, all seats have orange contrast stitching, an embroidered TrailSport logo on the front seat headrests, and amber-colored ambient lighting. The back seat will be divided 60/40 and foldable to increase luggage space.
While most manufacturers are downsizing engines and adding turbochargers, Honda has equipped the Passport with a massive 3.5L V6 engine with 280 horsepower and a towing capacity of 5000 pounds. The Passport feels powerful across the RPM range thanks to this engine. A nine speed automatic transmission drives the front wheels. This means the Passport is quicker than most people anticipate from a midsize SUV, and while it isn’t a sports car, it does have more lively handling than most of its direct rivals.
The Honda Passport AWD versions will offer more traction in various situations in 2022. Different drive modes would improve the SUV’s control over rugged terrain. The FWD vehicles will have a ground clearance of 7.5 inches, while the AWD cars will have 8.1 inches. Both are beneficial to the class. The 0-60 MPH sprint time for the 2022 Passport is estimated to be 6.2 seconds, with the AWD model clocking in at 5.8 seconds. The quarter-mile drag will be completed in 14.7 seconds.
2024 Honda Passport price and release date.
Honda will release a new TrailSport edition of its midsize Passport SUV in 2022, with a starting price of $43,695, plus $1,225 for the destination. Despite the new name and a few tweaks, the new Passport isn’t any more or less capable than the previous one.
