2024 Honda Ridgeline Interior, Engine, PriceAn excellent compact truck is the Honda Ridgeline. The Ridgeline’s interior offers adequate rear-seat capacity, outstanding build quality, and a substantial list of entertainment and driver-assistance technologies. It rides and drives more like an SUV than a ponderous, body-on-frame truck. On the other hand, the touch-screen infotainment system is a stumbling block due to its clumsy functioning. The 2024 Honda Ridgeline is one of the best compact pickup trucks. Though it can’t haul as much as competitors in its class, it has a refined, spacious cabin and easy-going performance.

This Honda lacks numerous class rivals’ long-bed choices, and it lags behind the segment leaders in maximum towing by thousands of pounds. The Ridgeline, on the other hand, is capable of handling most tasks. It isn’t easy to imagine a more well-rounded compact vehicle.

The SUV’s front end features a massive chrome-finished grille, LED headlights, and LED DRLs. Substantial alloy reels provide excellent traction on all road surfaces and generate long-term dynamic dominance. Incorporating athletic curves throughout the shoulders makes the body agile while cornering and keeps it stable at high speeds. The car’s load capacity is predicted to increase with a longer body.

The design of the Pilot is similar to that of the Odyssey minivan and the Ridgeline pickup truck. Competitors such as the Ford Explorer and Subaru Ascent are heavier than the Pilot but have identical proportions. Some of the exterior highlights of the 2024 Honda Pilot include LED taillights, Auto On/Off LED headlights, LED DRLs, a Chrome-finished front grille with Piano Black inserts, 20-inch aluminum wheels, and roof rails, remote-powered tailgate, auto-dimming and power-folding side mirrors.

Interior

The Honda Ridgeline’s interior is unrivaled in its class in terms of utility and comfort. Like most other mid-size pickups, the Honda has hard plastic below the dash. The materials are otherwise above average. All mid-size rivals’ rear-seat passengers will have the most room. The center console sits low between the front seats, so fold-down armrests for both front seats are a welcome addition. The Honda truck has only one-bed length, 5.3 feet, comparable to competitors’ short beds, and the second-lowest volume, 34 cubic feet.

The locking, weather-tight in-bed trunk with a 7.3-cubic-foot capacity remedies this imbalance. There’s one more advantage: the Ridgeline is the only mid-size truck that can provide a sheet of four-by-eight-foot construction material flat on the bed floor, thanks to its 50.0-inch gap between its wheel wells. Inside, there are more clever features. The back seat splits 60/40 and can be flipped up to accommodate a full-size bicycle. Unfortunately, because the rear doors don’t open very wide, it might be hard to load heavy things into the car.

Engine

A 3.5L V6 engine with 279 horsepower powers the Honda Ridgeline. The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission that drives all four wheels. When correctly outfitted, the machine lets the Ridgeline tow up to 5,000 pounds while still giving good fuel economy when not towing.

The standard Ridgeline’s fuel efficiency is slightly lower than before due to removing the front-wheel-drive model, but it’s still respectable for a V6-powered AWD truck. According to the EPA, the Ridgeline will get 18/24/21 mpg in the city, highway, and combined. Those figures beat the Chevrolet Colorado’s 17/24/19 mpg when fitted with 4×4 and a V6, albeit Colorado can be obtained with a more fuel-efficient turbodiesel engine. When the Ford Ranger is equipped with 4WD, the Honda nearly equals Ford’s 20/24/22 mpg. With a 19.5-gallon gas tank standard on all Ridgelines, a total cruising range of over 410 miles will be possible. In reality, after many highway miles and local drives on mountain roads, we got about 410 miles out of a tank.

Honda Ridgeline Release Date and Price in 2024

The Ridgeline’s three higher trim levels begin at $39,870, $42,820, and $44,320, respectively.
