Honda Ridgeline Hybrid 2024 Release Date, Model, Price – The 2024 Honda Ridgeline is an oddity in its class since it is the only pickup truck most purchasers will ever need. Honda has added more standard features to the Ridgeline for 2024. Active safety technologies, like adaptive cruise control and collision avoidance, are now traditional on all Ridgelines, as is an 8.0-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Only the Sport, RTL, RTL-E, and Black Edition trims remain with the removal of the RT and RTL-T trims.
2024 Honda Ridgeline Redesign
However, the design of the 2024 Honda Ridgeline hybrid is very different from most other trucks, having four doors and an open bed. We can’t tell the Ridgeline apart from the new Passport or the Honda Pilot it is based on, but we don’t mind because they are both attractive crossover SUVs. The Ridgeline looks a lot like a Pilot until you get to the end of the back door and see the square bed start.
Regarding the bed, the original Ridgeline had a kink in the D-pillar to let it flow better into the second generation’s design. Despite its good looks, this vehicle doesn’t appear as durable or competent as other vehicles in its class. Again, we’re not dissatisfied with the inside, which is identical to the Pilot’s.
The 2024 Honda Ridgeline has one of the most roomy and pleasant cabins of any vehicle, whether it is a mid-size or full-size model. We’re going with an 8 on this one. One of the most utilitarian everyday vehicles we’ve driven, the Ridgeline has accommodation for five people, a long and low roofline, and a lot of internal storage space owing to its unibody structure. To maximize space, the rear seats fold up against one another, creating a large amount of storage space.
Soft-touch plastics and leather upholstery are offered as options. The in-bed trunk is one of our favorite features of any vehicle, even though the bed is narrower and shorter than most, at just 60 inches long and 50 inches wide between the wheel wells. The tailgate has a dual-action mechanism that folds down and swings out.
For many purchasers, the 2024 Honda Ridgeline compromises some outright capacity in favor of on-road comfort, which is exactly what a mid-size truck should be able to provide. The score is 7/10 here. All of the Ridgeline’s power is provided by a 3.5-liter V-6 engine, which cranks out 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. It’s not as tough as some of its rivals, but it does the job well and has plenty of power to overtake on the highway.
All models this year include a new 9-speed automatic gearbox as standard equipment, with front-wheel drive as standard on the entry-level RTL and hybrid trims and all-wheel drive as an option on the Sport and RTL. Unlike other pickups, the Ridgeline is built on a body-on-frame platform, which is more common among crossover SUVs. With both positive and negative aspects, we’ll begin with the negative so that we may conclude with a positive one.
